Public Institutional Standards

These are the standards that have been developed by the Council and approved by the Minister of Education to govern performance, operations and general conduct of all tertiary institutions authorised to operate under the Tertiary Education Act.

The TEC shall assess institution's adherence to the standards through annual reports and assessment at intervals determined by the Council (section 24).

Registration may be suspended or revoked if an institution fails to comply with the institutional standards referred to above see section 23 (1) of the Act.
